Powered by Southeast Florida Action Network, SEAFAN is a citizen marine incident reporting and response system designed to improve the protection and management of Southeast Florida's offshore coral reefs.

Examples of Incidents or Happenings to Report

  • Algal bloom

  • Anchor damage or vessel grounding

  • Bird/turtle/marine mammal incident

  • Coral bleaching

  • Coral disease 

  • Derelict trap/trap debris 

  • Discolored water

  • Fish disease / fish kill

  • Invasive species

  • Marine debris

  • Sea urchin/Diadema disease

  • Unusual thermocline

  • Other incident

Step 2. Provide as many specific details as possible.

Step 3. Receive a follow-up email regarding the incident you filed.
