Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018 - The First FLORIDA BLUE VISION SUMMIT in St. Petersberg
This special first-of-its-kind-all-day event at the St. Petersberg Marine Exploration Center is being brought to the Sunshine State by the great folk who produce the fantastic biannual Blue Vision Summits in Washington, DC. If you live near St. Pete or can travel to attend, Register ASAP at

Monday, Feb. 19, 2018 - Evening with DAVID HELVARG at NOVA Oceanographic in Dania Beach

Please join NOVA students & staff and FOFR Reps for a special evening with DAVID HELVARG, Executive Director of and the author of several critically-acclaimed books and countless articles about conserving and protecting our oceans. Joining us directly after hosting the first Florida Blue Vision Summit in St. Petersberg on Feb 18, David Helvarg will be providing a memorable hour of enlightening words in the main auditorium of NSU's Guy Harvey Oceanographic Center, located at the end of end of Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park in Dania Beach. Doors open at 4:30p for a 4:45p start. David's 1-hr presentation will be followed by a complimentary pizza party where you can personally meet David, NOVA students and staff, and key FOFR volunteers.  This is a FREE special event and space is limited. If interested in joining from outside Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park, please send a short email to info(at) and we'll provide more info about gaining access to the the State Park to get to NOVA.

SIERRA CLUB MARINE TEAM FORUM - Hallandale Beach - Saturday, April 14, 2018. This special all day (10a-5p) educational event is brought to S.
